How to Lose Weight without Losing Strength

Q: Hello, my question concernes how bodyweight seems to increase your strength and viceverce when you loose weight, why is it so ? Also what is the best way to keep your strength while losing weight?

A: Well, if I could solve the riddle to that question, I would make a fortune. You almost always will lose strength when dieting and losing weight. Your leverage advantages of weighing more become diminished, and it is hard to not lose some muscle along with fat.

However, by training hard, and keeping your protein levels high, you can limit the amount of strength and muscle loss you incur. After training at a lighter bodyweight for several months, the strength gains will start to come back. But, the thing is you'll be gaining muscle and inevitably body weight. But, muscle is the kind of weight everyone in bodybuilding loves to gain!
