Is Stretching Important for Bodybuilding




Q: Is it nessary to stretch for bodybuilding and if so when should I do it?

A: Try implementing stretching with your strength program to improve overall muscular growth. Stretch the area you are training before the workout, between sets, and after the workout. By stretching you not only improve flexibility but also the elasticity of the ligaments, tendons, and fascial tissue around the muscle. As the elasticity of this tissue improves it allows the muscle room for growth. Try stretching 3-5 minutes before and after workout and 15-20 seconds between sets.
